When the Time is Right – Harp Ensemble – Wild Strings – In Association with Poppy Harp
£10.00
“When the time is right” was written by Shelley specially for Wild Strings with the brief of creating a pop harp ensemble piece. This piece has been created to demonstrate some common feature of pop music and is therefore unashamedly “gorgonzola”!
Please note, there is a FREE Download Coupon Code Available in Wild Strings Digital Book
You will find off-beat rhythms, triplets and use of semiquavers within the main tune, a repeating bassline, a riff that runs throughout the majority of the piece, added rhythmic elements such as clapping/accented repeating notes and the use of two well tried and tested pop chord progressions.
The chord progressions used are the so called “50’s progression” I – vi – IV – V in the verse and then the rising IV – V – iv or IV progression in the chorus, which alternates between the A major and A minor chord (ok so this is a slight twist!).
When performing this piece, attention to the off-beat rhythms, fast pace, energy and accenting should create the fun and upbeat feeling.
The main aim of this piece is just to have fun, so enjoy!
You can get a full copy of the whole Wild Strings book >>HERE<< or alternatively buy this copy which just has my tune in it.
If you have already purchased your copy and are just wanting to download the parts for FREE please just add the ‘coupon code’ at the checkout.
