START HARP Level 2 is a carefully structured 12-week online harp course designed to follow on from START HARP Level 1. It is also suitable for harpists who already have some foundation knowledge and are looking to develop their skills further.
In START HARP Level 2, you’ll begin putting your basic skills into playing harp music with greater confidence, developing fluidity, learning new techniques and building on the foundations established in Level 1. Each week you’ll be introduced to a new repertoire piece, alongside warm-up ideas related to the music, exercises to help you master trickier sections, and creative ways to develop and personalise each piece.
The core elements introduced in START HARP Level 1 — technique, learning by ear, improvisation and reading music — are all explored in greater depth throughout Level 2, helping you become a more confident and independent harpist.
By the end of the course (if you follow the lessons!), you’ll have a repertoire of ten pieces that you can play with pride and even share with family and friends. Who knows where your harp journey might lead next!
Whether you play a lever, lap or pedal harp, you’ll continue developing your technique, theory and musicianship from the comfort of your own home, following a carefully structured 12-week pathway at a pace that suits you.

To enrol on START HARP Level 2, you should either have completed START HARP Level 1 or contact Shelley Fairplay directly to discuss your current level and ensure this is the most appropriate course for you.

After enrolling, you’ll receive an email confirming your purchase. Within 48 hours you’ll receive your welcome pack, along with details of how to access your online classroom and private Facebook community.
